What Does Tadalafil Do for a Man?

Tadalafil is a prescription medication primarily used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED in men). It works by relaxing blood vessels and improving blood flow to the penis during sexual stimulation, helping a man achieve and maintain an erection. Tadalafil is also prescribed for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), where it helps reduce urinary symptoms such as difficulty urinating or frequent urination. Known for its long duration of action—up to 36 hours—Tadalafil allows for greater spontaneity compared to other ED medications. It should be used under medical supervision, especially in men with heart conditions or those taking nitrates.
